Brilliant pianist: The concert continued with the Brazilian pianist Eliane Rodrigues. As an introduction she played her own arrangement of Bach's Prelude and Fugue in G-major. It was a romantic variation on Bach in which the performer played in her own charming way with Bach's theme, in the process demonstrating that she is a brilliant pianist.

Next came Chopin's scherzo in which Chopin was obsessed with the theme of life and death. The sensitive counterpoint gives us Chopin's full breadth from the lively virtuoso to the melancholic and languid. Another splendid performance.

Festive and full of humour: Last we got the pianist's own composition ‘Carousel' written for her own child. A festive and humorous waltz, brimming with charm. Heavy applause.
